The Chevrolet Blazer is Coming

2019 Chevrolet Blazer

Chevy is reaching back into its history and pulling out an old favorite for reproduction. Yep; the Chevrolet Blazer is coming back to us.
Chevrolet has seen what needs to be done and has reached back into its vault to find the name that we’ve missed and desired for the fun on the trails. With Ford bringing back the Bronco and Jeep upgrading the Wrangler, it was time for Chevrolet to bring in a truly impressive SUV that can get out and take a drive. With this in mind, the Blazer is due to return for the 2019 model year and become a revived and revised model that will take its place in the market to give us the drive we want to enjoy.

The Pictures Tell a Story for the New Blazer

Some of the photos of what the new Blazer will look like have surfaced and they show an SUV that’s dynamic, attractive, and ready to take on some of the most engaging SUVs in the market. If you thought this vehicle would be limited to taking on the off-road crowd, think again. Chevrolet has the Blazer aimed at other competitors that are two-row vehicles including the Ford Edge and Nissan Murano, which explains the gorgeous style that can be seen in the pictures that have been shared.
This new style is certainly something that’s needed. While we might have a soft place in our hearts for the old, boxy, leaky SUV that was the Blazer of old, a modern model is the right choice for the drive. This new model will make use of a unibody frame that will be shared with the GMC Acadia to let it be one that can offer the smooth ride you want on the road and the dynamic build on the trails. The look you see is one that doesn’t necessarily make you feel like it’s a serious off-road machine, but that’s what we expect it to be.

Adding to the Chevrolet Stable

Right now, Chevrolet has five SUVs in the lineup, which is more than some have. These five are the Trax, Equinox, Traverse, Tahoe, and Suburban and now we add the Blazer to the mix. This SUV is expected to be situated between the Equinox and Traverse for the drive we need and desire. Because crossover SUVs are what sell more than any other right now, the Blazer is expected to be as comfortable on the road as it is on the trails that we’ll want to enjoy in this vehicle.
We already know the new Chevrolet Blazer will be offered with a 3.6-liter V6 engine as the standard item with optional AWD that can be added to the mix. It will ride on 18-inch wheels with larger 20 and 21-inch wheels available for you to have the higher ride that you want. We’ll expect to see this SUV at one of the shows in the early part of 2019 followed by its arrival at dealerships to make sure we have the name we know and admire in the Chevrolet SUV lineup once again.
