Nissan Pathfinder Project Overland

Nissan Debuts Project Overland Builds at SEMA

A specialized model of the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder will make its way to the SEMA Show and give us a glimpse at how this brand can marry two worlds together.
While Nissan has been creating off-road-ready vehicles for a few decades, we’ve never associated the NISMO name with off-roading. Instead, NISMO was reserved for sports cars and performance parts that made these vehicles more fun to drive. With the thought of fun in mind, maybe NISMO is the right name to add to a Pathfinder that’s being offered with an impressive package of off-road features.

The Pathfinder Found at SEMA

When the Nissan booth opens at SEMA, the 2022 Pathfinder will be on display. While an excellent SUV in its own right, the model being displayed will have an amazing list of NISMO Off-Road parts that give this SUV much more capability on the trails. This version of the Pathfinder is being promoted as an adventure-ready family SUV that could be great for those families that want to head to the mountains for some rock climbing, trail riding, hiking, skiing, or kayaking in the wilderness. To be capable of these activities, this SUV has to be packaged with the right gear.
The SEMA version of the Nissan Pathfinder is being called the Project Overland Pathfinder. This SUV will give you the benefits of a two-inch lift kit, Bilstein-sourced high-capacity shocks, a set of custom 18×8-inch NISMO Off-Road Wheels, and a set of Maxxis RAXR AT Tires. This impressive SUV also brings you an upgraded specialized roof rack, Rugged Cases that can pack the equipment you’re looking for, NISMO Off-Road six-inch driving lights, a custom front bumper guard with Rigid 4-inch D-Series driving lamps, custom rock rails, and a special hitch carrier to give you another place to carry some gear.
The inside of this Pathfinder gives you a conversion kit to give you a camp kitchen and sleeping platform system that makes this SUV easy for you to use during any adventure.

Choose a Pathfinder While You Wait

The specialized Nissan Pathfinder offered at the SEMA show is packed with amazing features that make your adventures more amazing when you head out into the wilderness won’t be offered right away; you can have a Pathfinder that gives you plenty of driving elements you’re sure to love. This impressive SUV has a long history as an off-roader to make sure you can climb mountain roads and handle the trails you find.

The 2022 Model Gives You Something New

While captain’s chairs aren’t a new concept in the automotive market, this is the first year that a pair of second-row captain’s chairs are available for the Pathfinder. This means you can have a 2-2-3 seating configuration in the SUV that you drive every day. There’s a removable center console that can give your rear passengers a place to keep some stuff. The dashboard features either an eight or nine-inch color touchscreen to give you the connectivity you’re looking for.
If you’re wondering why Nissan would use this SUV as the one to take to SEMA, the fact that you can fold and slide the second row, fold the third row down, and then have enough room for multiple sheets of 4×8 plywood laying flat on the floor, you’ll understand why this is the vehicle that was packaged with adventure items that come from the NISMO Off-Road team.

The Pathfinder Brings a Rugged Appearance

We’ve known the Nissan Pathfinder as an SUV that has been made for adventure and fun for a long time. This SUV has rugged exterior styling, a handsome V-Motion grille, and an impressive build that will make driving on trails much more fun for you. There are fourteen colors and color combinations for this SUV to give you the look you’ll want to show off during your drive. The model that is on display at SEMA certainly has a higher stance and dynamic style elements that you won’t find at your local dealership.

The ProPilot Assist System Gives You an Excellent Drive

When you want to take your hands off the wheels and let your feet rest for a few seconds at a time, the ProPilot Assist system makes this possible for you in the Pathfinder. This system is standard on the SV trim and higher, and it brings you the benefits of steering assist with adaptive cruise control to keep the vehicle between the lines. If you have the Platinum trim, the system is even better with the use of the navigation system, which has mapped out the roads to keep the vehicle in the right place on the road for you.
