Luxury Cars You Want to Avoid

Luxury Cars You Want to Avoid

When you expect more from the vehicle you choose because you pay more for the privilege of driving the vehicle you’ve decided on, you can be let down when you don’t get what you expect. If you reach up into the luxury market to find the model that you think is going to give you little to no worries and be the vehicle that allows you to drive the way you want, it can be seriously disheartening to have to make compromises just because the vehicle can’t live up to your expectations. Here are some luxury models you may want to stay away from.

Tesla Model X –It appears those that have bought this SUV are happy with it, but the reliability scores and issues related to the brakes, interior trim, AWD system, and other features make it one that you might want to avoid. This is certainly the case when you see the price you’ll have to pay to make this the vehicle you want to drive.

Maserati Ghibli –With the name that makes you swoon and the trident badge on the front you expect this car to be perfection on wheels. This is a car that looks great and drives fast, but it has issues when it comes to the build quality and stiffness that you don’t want to experience when you get behind the wheel. This is also a car that weighs too much for its class.

Mercedes-Benz GLE –Most of what comes from this brand is amazing and can be some of the best in the industry, but not this SUV. This model is riding on an older platform that needs to be upgraded and changed. this platform is left over from the Daimler Chrysler days and it’s time to overhaul this SUV because it’snot built to meet your expectations at all right now.

Mercedes-Benz SLC –Here is another example of a vehicle from this brand that’s riding on an aging platform from the previous regime. There isn’t much power under the hood either which makes it even less exciting. If you’re looking for a sleek roadster for the drive, you might want to spend your time and money looking elsewhere.

Mercedes-Benz CLA/GLA –Thesetwo models are considered some of the entry-level models and aren’t ones that you want to drive if you’re looking for the height of luxury. On the other hand, if you want to get started with your first luxury vehicle, these two are just fine to start with but expect more when you move up and on from either of these models.

Buick Envision –While this is an SUV that slides in the middle of the lineup and can be a versatile model for you to drive, its one that doesn’t bring you the value expected for the amount of money you’re going to pay when you choose this as the model that you want to drive. This SUV would have been better off without a luxury/premium badge on the front of it.

Infiniti QX70 –This model and its platform are nearly a decade old, which is ancient in the automotive world for a platform. It may be time to upgrade the QX70 and give us something new in this category; otherwise, we might begin to seriously ignore a luxury model that doesn’t seem to be able to keep up with what’s being offered.

Cadillac Escalade –If others are getting old, this one is a dinosaur on the market. When you’re looking for the presence when you arrive at the event you want to enjoy, this is still the vehicle to take you there, but don’t expect a ton of performance from this SUV. It’s been mired with a stiff ride, clumsy handling, poor braking, and a design in the cabin that can wear on you.

Cadillac ATS –As the entry-level model for Cadillac, this is a luxury car that brings you less than what you want when it’s time to get out on the road for a drive. This is a car that’s forgettable, although it can be a car that’s great as the first luxury car you drive, it’s not a good representation of what luxury should be when it’s time to head out on the road for a drive.

Lincoln MKT –This SUV is one that needs to be scrapped and rebuilt. It’s ugly, revolting, out of date, overpriced, and hard to drive. There isn’t the technology you want present and you can’t even have decent fuel mileage in this SUV. Don’t drive this vehicle unless you seriously fall in love during several test drives that you take from the dealership.
