Hyundai Offers a New Model in China

The Hyundai brand is ready to offer a new model to the Chinese market and this car had its debut at the Auto China 2018 show, but the name and the car are both something we haven’t seen in the past.
We know most of the models offered outside the North American market are done with a variety of names, including many that we don’t recognize. This new car is called the Lafesta and it’s a liftback sedan that will be able to give this market something exciting and special for the drive desired.

Describing this car in this way doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll know exactly what it is, but it will be a sensuous sport sedan that will be driven on the roads in China and be offered to let the mainstream shopper have a choice of something that can be a lot of fun to drive on the road. The four-door design is meant to look more like a coupe than a sedan and it will certainly provide the style we want to see. This car is attractive, active, and engaging, and that’s just how it looked on the stage, imagine what it might be when it’s taken to the roads.

Pop the hood on this new sedan and the newest version of the 1.6-liter GDI engine is offered which sends the power to the wheels through a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. While we don’t have any of the specifics regarding the power numbers and excellent dynamics offered to make it possible to have a fun and enjoyable ride on the road.

How is the Lafesta a significant model that can offer us the drive we would want in the US? Right now, Hyundai doesn’t offer us anything that can be considered a sports sedan since the Genesis was placed under its own name and offered as the G80 for the luxury dynamics desired. With that in mind, the Lafesta could eventually be built to replace this missing part of the Hyundai lineup in the US, but it would certainly need to offer us larger and more powerful engines for the drive. We will have to keep an eye on this new car in China and see how well-received it is.
