Award Winners at the Detroit Auto Show

One of the most enjoyable aspects of any auto show is the ceremonies when awards are handed out for the new models that are able to offer us the drive, the style, the technology, and the equipment we want all in one amazing package. There’s no denying the need for more comfort and advanced tech when it comes to competing for any awards, but it’s still impossible to beat a great ride and the right amount of capability offered for a vehicle that we want to take on the road and make use of on a daily basis. The award winners for The North American Utility of the Year and North American Truck of the Year are the Hyundai Kona and Ram 1500.

The Hyundai Kona

When Hyundai introduced the Kona, the rest of the compact SUV market groaned because other models would have to be improved to even try to reach the level of quality and packaging that Hyundai had just offered. The 2019 Ram 1500 was first introduced to us a year ago at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show and this year it’s stopping by to accept the award as the North American Truck of the Year. This truck is built with more technology than any other truck in the past including a mild-hybrid powertrain to give you the drive and the qualities you want when you’re looking for a great way to balance power and efficiency when you take this truck out for a drive.

If you’re looking for the pickup truck that allows you to have more fun or get more work done, the Ram 1500 is a great choice, but it has more to offer you than just power and efficiency. Ram took the time and care to include a more comfortable interior cabin to give you the seating, sound system, and electronics you want. This truck can be had with a massive 12-inch infotainment screen that looks more like a large tablet than what you normally find in a vehicle. If it’s time for you to have a great truck, you can’t go wrong with the Ram 1500 at all.
