Is your favorite car receiving a facelift in 2022? Every year we see several new models added to the market.
Some that either receives mid-cycle refreshes or a complete generational change. With that in mind, the new vehicle you’ve been looking at and considering just might be wearing a new body, giving you an improved look that could bring you the style and drive you’ve been searching for.
BMW 2 Series
This small and active BMW is being built with a new look to give you a sportier drive and more options for the 2022 model year. Along with the new style, this little Bimmer is being offered in the Gran Coupe and Active Tourer body styles to give you a couple of impressive choices. Under the skin, we will see a different car than what has been presented to us in the past.
Expect the new BMW to not only have a facelift for the 2022 model year but to give you a different driving feeling. You may have anFWD platform for the base models, but you can add a rear-biased AWD setup that can offer more fun and driving dynamics on the track. These same underpinnings are being used by the Z4, which gives us a fantastic foundation for the M2 which is likely to arrive in 2023.
Tesla Roadster
The Roadster name was the first of the Tesla models to make it out of the factory and give us the foundation for what would eventually be the Model S. Since that time, Tesla has been focused on more vehicles and entering different areas of the market with the Model X, Model 3, and Model Y. Thankfully, we are now going to see a new Roadster for the 2022 model year and it looks amazing.
This new car will bring a tri-motor setup and the sleekest design you can find for an electric sports car. This car is expected to push all the right buttons with acceleration numbers that show it reaching sixty mph in 1.9 seconds and finishing a quarter-mile in 8.8 seconds. The driving range is said to reach 620 miles on a single charge, which is all day wonderful for any driver.
Chevrolet Corvette Z06
It’s finally time for the arrival of a hardcore version of one of the most glorious cars on the market. Add a more aggressive facelift for 2022 and you’re going to see the new Z06 version of the Chevrolet Corvette. The C8 Corvette model is already incredible and built to take on any rival, but with the addition of a new Z06 package, you’ll be even more inclined to choose the American icon over a foreign rival.
Rumors tell us this new model will likely take the power of the ‘Vette up to 625 horsepower to give us amazing speed and power where we want it. Another possibility, but not likely for 2022, is a more powerful ZR1 version and an electrified model. These two just might be made to challenge some of the sprint champions which seem to all be electrified. Get ready, a badder Chevrolet Corvette is on the way.
Nissan 400Z
It has a name and it’s going to be the next version of the Nissan Z-Car family. While it’s not truly putting a facelift on for 2022 to give you the same model with a fresh face, this new version is meant to give us something from many of the Z-cars of the past. We’ve been waiting a long time to have the 400Z and it seems that the 2022 model year will be the perfect time to bring it to life.
This new version of the Z-car is ready to give us the most power from any car in this family and continue with the quickness and driving dynamics we admire. Whether you take a look around and see the influence of previous models that are part of this build or you simply love the 400 horsepower coming out of the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, you’re going to be thrilled with this sports car.
Genesis G70
One of the cars on our list that is truly receiving a refresh is the Genesis G70. This car is receiving an updated interior, an all-new infotainment system, and more drive modes than before. We will see new quad-beam headlights and the twin-slash running lights that have become a staple of this brand. Check out the aggressive lower fascia that gives you the aggressive look you want and the long hood with a pulled-back cabin that makes this car the athlete you’re looking for.
The Genesis G70 isn’t all about the facelift for the 2022 model. This car brings you the power you want with either a four-cylinder engine that produces 252 horsepower or a twin-turbocharged V6 that offers 365 ponies galloping along. Both offer excellent numbers for power and efficiency, giving you the right way to have an amazing drive in this car.
