At this point I have lost count of how many installments of this series we have gone through working to at least highlight the new 2016 model year. Suffice it to say this is going to be one of the absolute best model years we have seen in a very long time. Here are ten more cars to whet your appetite for this upcoming model year.
Lexus IS – Turbocharging is the name of the game for the IS which gets a modest upgrade from last year. The 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine is expected to replace the old V6 and give the car 235 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque along with much better fuel efficiency. This makes for a huge win if you are looking for the IS as your next car, just don’t look for the convertible as it has been discontinued.
Lexus LS – The LS has not received any changes from 2015, which is just fine since it’s an amazing luxury vehicle already. The minor tweaks are in the infotainment connectivity and the colors you can choose for the car, but as a large luxury sedan the LS continues to be one of the smoothest rides on the market with an air like suspension and powerful engine that allows you to enjoy the drive and feel pampered.
Lexus RC/RC F – This pair come in as the sport styled offerings from Lexus to give you the dynamic power and performance you want in a competition with other sport luxury models. The changes to this pair are minor with the addition of the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine. Other than this minor difference the RC and RC F, which are both quick and decisive in their driving capabilities.
Lincoln MKS – The MKS has been a name that we have enjoyed for a few years and continues to be a delightful luxury car that offers a powerful V6 engine and a beautiful ride. Toss in the AWD and you can easily see how your MKS will be a dynamic ride the lets you be fully in control of the entire drive. From the inside of the car you can enjoy some excellent features that have become huge on every Lincoln.
Lincoln MKZ – This car is built on the same platform as the Ford Fusion but certainly ups the game with some great features, a higher class look, more dynamics in the suspension and a more comfortable ride. The panoramic sunroof is attractive and gives you a sense of luxury. The Black Label program can increase this luxury even more if you decide its worth your money and effort to pay the additional cost.
Maserati Ghibli – This is a car that will get you loads of attention in any area of the country. The Ghibli now offers an S model that will have the same powertrain as the S Q4 but adds a few features to make it a more complete package. The customization of either model makes them easy to enjoy and show off to anyone you meet. With so many of the German models on the road, this can give you a change for the better.
Maserati Granturismo/Convertible – There are four seats in this ultra-sports car, why? So you have a place to put three friends who want to enjoy the awesomeness of this car with you. With a 454 horsepower 4.7-liter V8 engine under the hood and some truly dynamic and aggressive driving manners the Gran Turismo is one of the most exciting cars on the road but it does come at a steep price tag.
Maserati Quattroporte – This car comes in without many changes at all. The 2015 lineup saw a limited Ermenegildo Zegna Edition added to the lineup which brought in even more luxury including silk and leather seating, real wood accents, a 19-pieces accessory set and more. The production run was to be limited to 100 cars but it looks like it will continue for 2016 as well, giving you a great car to choose.
Mazda 3 – Whatever Mazda is doing, they need to keep on doing it. The Mazda 3 is a great example of a car that offers excellent style on the outside, good interior features including design and equipment, and a fuel efficient but zippy engine. This combination has turned many in the compact car realm toward the Mazda 3 as their choice; putting smiles on the faces of many drivers that resemble the one of the front of the car.
Mazda 6 – As the larger sibling, the Mazda 6 has been a selection many have made when they want to step up from the Mazda 3. The updates for 2016 add a new infotainment system, give a refined interior, add a head up display, and add a more comfortable seating arrangement. This is one of the only sedans you can still buy with a six-speed manual transmission on the Sport and Touring trim levels, if that is your choice.
