The small and active Chevy Trailblazer makes its triumphant return to the market to give us a subcompact SUV we’ll enjoy.
If you expected the Chevy Blazer return to be one that brought an SUV that’s based on the Chevy Silverado platform you won’t see this in the new Chevy Blazer that has returned to the market. Now we see another variation of this SUV that will be offered with another name that we love to enjoy. This is the small and active Trailblazer that will be offered to fit between the Chevy Trax and the Equinox to make sure that you can have another choice when you’re looking for a great SUV to drive.
Will the Chevy Trailblazer Replace the Trax?
For now, the plan from Chevrolet is to add the Trailblazer to the mix and not replace the Trax at all. This could be extremely good news considering the fact that the Chevrolet lineup will be without a passenger car in the near future and we will rely solely on SUVs to be the vehicles that take us where we need to go. This new model will likely have the same dimensions as the new Buick Encore GX.
Same but Different
Even though the new Chevy Trailblazer will be the same size as the Buick Encore GX, it will have a slightly larger area in the cabin. The Chevy will offer more cargo volume by five cubic feet to give you more room to have the ability to carry more stuff with you. The Chevy version will also offer you the brand list of features to be an affordable small SUV that will let you have the pleasure of driving the newest Trailblazer that you want to be able to take on the roads and enjoy every day.
Which Powertrains will be Offered in the Chevy Trailblazer?
This new small SUV will have a slew of small powertrains to choose from. While we don’t know which engine will be used yet, it’s possible this SUV shows up with the 1.4-liter turbocharged engine or the 1.5-liter that’s used in the Equinox. There will be an RS trim with a contrasting roof and you can expect to have plenty of styles, fuel mileage, and qualities that you already admire when you take a look at what Chevy has for you to enjoy a drive on the roads in your area.
Excellent Safety and a Model to Look for
Because we know plenty about the Buick Encore GX, we can surmise the features and safety systems that will be found in the Chevrolet Trailblazer. This new model will have the benefits of front pedestrian braking, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, a rearview camera, rear park assist, and more to make sure you can stay safe when you drive. We don’t have the pricing information for this SUV just yet, but you can expect it to be offered closer to the date that the Trailblazer will go on sale in the US.
