The 2016 Jaguar XF Makes a Dramatic Entrance
What has a supercharged V6 and does a high wire act? The new 2016 Jaguar XF would be the answer. This awesome new car entered the London Auto Show in a dramatic fashion by performing an over water high wire crossing of the Canary Wharf district of London. That entrance aside the XF for 2016 is the beginning of the second generation of the amazing midsized four door sedan from Jaguar that has been popular throughout its first generation. This new generation offers a more refined design and amazing upgrades to be another proud offering from Jaguar.
The new XF is powered by an amazing 3.0-liter supercharged V6 that brings in 340 horsepower and 380 horsepower based on the setup of the engine. Both versions are attached to an eight speed automatic transmission giving power to all four wheels as needed or to just the rear wheels when that is all that is needed. Unfortunately, for now the 2.0-liter four-cylinder and 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel will continue to be only offered in Europe, but the options we will have in the states will give plenty of excitement and enjoyment for use to experience.
The interior of the XF will enjoy an upgraded technology including a reconfigurable 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster, along with the new InControl Touch Pro infotainment system. This is the most advanced system of its kid and offers a Dual 10.2-inch touchscreen for the fastest data transfer for any system like this. Going along with this high end control system is the 17-speaker, 825-watt Meridian digital sound system for listening to your favorite music or radio stations.
Maybe the remarkable high-wire act was possible because of the over 400 pounds the new generation has lost over the last generation, or possibly it was a great engineering feat. This weight loss is another example of the intensive use of aluminum in automaking for body panels and framework creating lighter designs while actually adding strength to the vehicles. Using the signature double-wishbone suspension system that has been a staple of the Jaguar name for many years, the XF offers advanced dynamics in control, steering and performance giving drivers the most dynamic and enjoyable driving experience found in a Jaguar to date. The Configurable Dynamics offer a driver selectable setting for the shocks, steering and shift mapping in order to provide a driving experience that is made to match the drive on any road.
Of course all the changes can’t be limited to the telematics, control features, frame and engines, if so this car would be a boring one off that most shoppers would pass up. The look of the XF is also new and impressive giving the car a bolder, more upscale appearance and of course and improved interior as well for those who love the Jaguar to have another great offering to drive. The Jaguar XF shows up with dynamic feature improvements, better fuel efficiency and an overall remake to be a highly improved and attractive offering from Jaguar for luxury midsize sedan lovers to enjoy.
