If You Liked the Old One; You’ll Love the New One

09.22.16 - 2017 Infiniti QX60

Upgraded items often give us more of what we want from the experience of these items. Typically this is the result of feedback from consumers, but sometimes the manufacturer sees the need to make changes and finds the right fit for the product. The new Infiniti QX60 is a great example of a vehicle that’s been upgraded to make it more of what we want. This is a family hauling luxury SUV and certainly not a vehicle that many buy to carve up the corners, but Infiniti Engineers decided this big beast needed to be more capable and confident on the road.

We certainly don’t mind a vehicle that’s able to take a corner better than in the past and if you owned a QX60 in the past this new one will certainly give you noticeable improvements to enjoy. On the other hand, if you’ve never owned a QX60, you might not expect a massive vehicle that weighs in at 4,379 pounds to be agile on the road. The QX60 isn’t going to challenge the sports sedans and coupes for any performance titles, but it certainly is a lot more fun to drive with a much more engaging ride.

In order to create this improved ride the engineers made three significant changes to the SUV. These include the new shocks and springs, new all-season tires and an adjusted power steering system to improve the feedback. With these three changes and an SUV that uses a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 264 horsepower and 248 lb.-ft. of toque while attached to a CVT automatic you have a vehicle that offers the power you need and the drive that you’ll love. With this powertrain you enjoy 19 city/26 hwy mpg with full time AWD in a luxury SUV that starts at only $44,400.

When you hear about a vehicle adding more grip and capability the tradeoff seems often to be in the form of the ride comfort. The QX60 doesn’t give up the comfortable ride but simply creates a great balance of confidence in the turns with the smooth ride. The new Active Trace Control stability system helps to smooth out the power deliver and engage the brakes in a way that makes the ride both confident and comfortable, which is exactly what you want in a luxury SUV from Infiniti.

Looking to the inside of the QX60 the look is of enticing luxury at all angles. From the soft leather seats to the polished wood and metal trim this SUV has the look and the space you want. The second row passengers will love the 41.7 inches of legroom and for those that need to sit in the third row 30.8 inches of space still make plenty of room for their lower extremities. Behind that third row is a generous cargo space that gives you room to take along some of the cargo you need for the ride to make this an SUV you want to drive for every situation.

The Infiniti QX60 offers you something more in a larger SUV. Where many three row SUVs are built to give you the massive space and a comfortable ride, this one also adds the compliant and confident drive of being able to ride through the curves with ease. This is a luxury SUV that makes a huge difference and offers you the attractive Infiniti style and plenty of room for the entire family.
