It seems to me the folks at Rimac were supremely confident in their new product which will debut in its production form at the Geneva Motor Show.

This product is the Concept_One which is being advertised as the world’s first all-electric hypercar. This car has been around the block already, showing up at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and offering a pre-order for the car beginning in 2012. This preorder process has been highly competitive for this car as only eight will be made and six have already been sold.

How can this car be the most powerful all-electric car? Simply by offering four powerful permanent magnet electric motors to run the car, with one at each wheel, this car will blow your mind. With these four motors in place, all of which will be at the center of each axle the car is able to achieve as much as 1,088 horsepower and 1,180 lb.-ft. of torque. Rimac added the AWD torque vectoring system to help calculate the exact amount of torque each wheel needs at any given moment.

What are the results of this awesome power? This car is capable of reaching sixty mph in less than 2.6 seconds. Not only will it make that quick run, but this car weighs in at 4,078 pounds, making it one of the heaviest sports cars on the planet. This weight has a lot to do with the four motors, because this a car that offers an aluminum frame and carbon fiber members to try and save some weight wherever it’s possible to do so.

The CEO of Rimac Automobili, Mate Rimac stated that this car has gone through four iterations already and has had nearly every system rebuilt and redesigned during each iteration. While there is no news on the range of this car, there are only two left that can be bought before Rimac stops the production of this amazing car.
