Dodge Keeps Things Interesting with a Facelifted Charger Hellcat

Whether you look at the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat to be a model that can offer you the powerful ride you want when you head out with the kids in tow, or you want to continue to live your youth in a sedan that makes it easy to take friends along on the weekends, this is a car that shows up with the stuff you’re looking for. Dodge has done an excellent job of making sure the Charger, in every form, continues to be what we want, but mostly in the Hellcat model.
Right now, the new Challenger has teased us with a new dual-snorkel hood that may allow the Hellcat engine to have an upgraded power number. For the new 2019 Dodge Charger Hellcat, the changes are more subtle but interesting enough to make sure you don’t feel like you’re buying the same car as the previous year. The success of these two models, across their lineups, has to do with the uniqueness of being able to have one of sixteen different trims that offer you something more than what the other models have when you’re ready to drive.

Spy Shots Give us an Idea of the Charger Hellcat Upgrades

Recently, there were some spy shots captured outside SRT’s headquarters that allows us to see the new Charger Hellcat out testing. this car was seen wearing a large amount of camouflage on the front of the car to let us have the thought of a new grill, new front fascia, and a new hood for the 2019 model year. While the hood doesn’t appear to take on the same dramatic change as the new Challenger hood offered, it will push more air into the engine and give this car the look you want.

The next generation of the Dodge Charger isn’t scheduled to arrive on the market until 2021 and it will use the Alfa Romeo Giulia platform to offer the underpinnings of the car. This means the Charger is likely to shrink in size but be more active and aggressive on the track. There’s not been any word yet to tell us whether the Hellcat engine will continue to be used when this new model arrives. Since this replacement is still a few years away, it makes sense for Dodge to make minor changes to keep us engaged in what the Charger can offer.

If you’re looking for a large sedan with big power to make sure you can have the fun and active drive you want when you take your family out for a drive, the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat can be the right choice for you. The new 2019 model with its upgrades should be offered later in the fall. While we don’t expect the horsepower to increase over the current 707 number, there could be a few performance improvements based on these changes to the front end of this incredible sports sedan that has captured our hearts and doesn’t seem to want to let go.
