Chevrolet Continues to Add More to the Colorado Truck
The automotive market has changed from sedans like the Chevrolet Malibu to SUVs and pickup trucks being more popular than ever before. The Chevrolet team is capitalizing on the popularity of the midsize truck market with the Colorado that’s become a truck that has been built with more packages of features than any other model in the same class. With that in mind, the Colorado is entering 2019 with some new features on some of the lower trims of the truck to make this the right truck for you to experience the drive you’re looking for when you head out for a ride.
Two New Option Packages for Colorado
If you’re looking for the right midsize pickup truck for you and you’re looking at the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 or the ZR2 Bison and you know you can’t afford either of these trims, there are options that will bring you some of the features you’re looking for. The first package is the Z71 Trail Runner which adds the aluminum skid plates, rock rails, and 17-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires from the ZR2 to the truck. The regular retuned Z71 suspension and locking rear differential will remain the same, but the standard grill is replaced with the grill from the Bison trim.
The second package you’ll find for the2019 Chevrolet Colorado you want to drive is the new RST package. This package will give you a variety of appearance items that will give you the look that’s similar to the same RST features offered for the Tahoe, Suburban, and Silverado models. This package is offered on the LT trim and brings in the Bison grill but doesn’t offer any of the off-road upgrades that are found in the Bison. This appearance package gives you a black strip along the lower door molding, black RST badges, a black bow tie on the tailgate, and a set of 20-inch wheels.
Giving You More for the Ride
If you don’t want to choose one of these two new packages for the Colorado, you’ll have the chance to add more extras for the truck that you want. There are two extra skid plates on the Z71 and LT models that can be added along with the Bison grill to give you more of the features you want when you’re ready to get behind the wheel of this truck and take a drive.
Not Everything Separate
While you can get some items in the separate packages or individually, not every feature for the Colorado is offered in this manner. The longer travel spool-valve dampers, 3.5-inch wider track, two-inch lift, chassis reinforcements, and locking front differential are all exclusive items to the ZR2 models. Even so, you can have some of the features you want from the ZR2 and Bison models when you choose the Trail Runner or RST packages that can add more to the Chevrolet Colorado that you want to drive and experience when you head out for the day in your impressive pickup truck.
