Buick Brings Style to Small Luxury with 2015 Verano

Buick has long been known for offering vehicles that are comfortable, have a quiet cabins and offer great driving performance. The Verano is no exception to this at all. The first engine offered is a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine that brings in 180 horsepower and 171 lb.-ft. of torque. When mated to the automatic transmission this powertrain comes in with a fuel efficiency of 21 city/32 hwy mpg.

Next up is the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that comes in with 250 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. This powertrain offers plenty of added power for any driver to enjoy and brings in a fuel efficiency of 20 city/31 hwy mpg for the manual transmission and 21 city/30 hwy mpg for the automatic.

As expected, the interior of the Verano offers a lot of upscale materials that are high on comfort along with a great deal of eye catching trimmings and advanced controls to remind anyone who might forget that this is a premium sedan for pleasure cruising. By adding a seven-inch touch screen the Verano is able to cut down on most of the buttons that surrounded the controls previously, giving it a sleeker look. Even though this car is built on a compact car platform it offers plenty of room in the front and back seat for full size adults to enjoy the comfort and upscale riding.

On the outside the Verano is gorgeous and falls in line with many of the newer Buick models that boast a look that is very different than what had become a boring lineup of cars. By adding the right Buick touches to the outside it’s very easy to see the difference between the Verano and Cruze. These added features include the signature waterfall grill, the portholes on top of the hood, and very impressive 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. The turbo models add a dual exhaust and a “T” badge to the trunk which increases the appeal of this outstanding premium car.

The standard equipment for the Buick Verano offers a lot to enjoy. This list includes a six-speaker sound system with a touch screen, dual-zone automatic climate control, a rearview camera, electronic parking brake, acoustic laminated glass, ten airbags, stability control, traction control and automatic crash response as part of a six month trial OnStar subscription. With these features in place any owner of the Verano will have plenty to enjoy including riding on the 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and the great engine that is in place to get this car going quickly and effortlessly.

The Verano has a very long list of optional features to add to and make the car individualized and exceptional for anyone to drive. This list includes a navigation system, a power sunroof, a Bose premium sound system, a sport package, rear spoiler, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alerts, forward collision alerts, lane departure warnings, heated front seats and a power driver’s seat. The Turbo model adds leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel and a nine-speaker Bose surround sound system to the package. With so much to choose from and so many different packages offered for the Verano, it truly does continue to proudly carry on the Buick nameplate.

The base model of the Verano boasts the best value in this class of vehicle and comes in starting at just over $24,000. The turbocharged Verano with lots of options includes comes in at a price around $30,000 giving plenty of power and performance to the car. The base model with the Leather Group comes in around $28,000 which might be the best price for this model of the Verano and offers plenty of great features in this package.
