The Next Cadillac Crossover Has Been Spotted

The 2020 model year is when we expect to see the next new Cadillac crossover SUV and it’s already been seen in several spy shots, giving us a look at what we can expect for the future.
While still in the testing phase, it’s exciting to see the new XT6 is ready to head out on the road to perform tests that will allow the Cadillac team to perform tweaks and changes to make it ready for the market.
As you would expect, the Cadillac XT6 that was seen on the roads performing tests was wearing heavy camouflage. Even if we don’t truly know the extent of what this vehicle will be and how it will finally look, we do have an idea of what the dimensions of this model will be when it arrives on the market. Right now it appears this will be the Cadillac answer to the full-size SUVs offered by Volvo, Lexus, and Audi that we already see and admire on the market.

Design and Drive in the Cadillac XT6

As the CT6 is the top level for the sedan of Cadillac, the XT6 is expected to be the flagship model of the crossover SUV market for this brand. There will be three rows of seats to offer you and everyone you want to take along with you in the XT6 the comfortable place to enjoy the ride. This new SUV is being built on the new Chi platform and it will ride on an all-independent suspension with a MacPherson strut design up front with a five-link independent design in the rear to give you the smooth and elegant ride you expect in a Cadillac.
The power offered for the new XT6 is expected to come from the 3.6-liter V6 engine that’s been a familiar choice on the market. This engine is to be paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission to offer a smooth delivery of the power that you’ll need for the ride. You can absolutely expect this SUV to be packed with the luxury qualities you want and the technology you expect to be offered by this incredible luxury brand. The price expected for the XT6 should fall between the XT5 and the Escalade to be in line with what you expect.
The most exciting news regarding the Cadillac XT6 that we’ll see in the 2020 model year is the fact that is should make its debut at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show later this year.
