If you haven’t found your perfect rig yet, check out your local RV dealer. So, here is a list of the best states to live in when you call an RV home.

Florida

Florida is an excellent choice for those who choose to live full-time in a recreational vehicle. Florida doesn’t have an income tax, and the government will accept mail-forwarding addresses. Not to mention the weather is generally fantastic most of the year.

Plus, you will find some of the most beautiful RV parks in the country. Imagine waking up with an ocean view each morning! There are parks along the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico, not to mention interior options, as well.

Texas

Another state that has no state income tax and is a fantastic place to call home in your RV is Texas. Plus, it is easy and affordable to register vehicles in Texas, and you can renew your driver’s license by mail. You can also register to vote by mail.

The Lone Star State offers incredibly diverse scenery and landscaping. In the east, there are pine trees and coastline; in central Texas, you will find bustling cities and beautiful hill country, and in the north and west, you’ll find vast expanses of desert and mountains. Big Bend National Park is a must-see, as well.

South Dakota

South Dakota is the final state on the list that has no state income tax. As an added bonus, South Dakota has no sales tax either, you will only pay 4% when purchasing a vehicle.

The state doesn’t require a vehicle inspection, and insurance is quite low in general when compared with other states. Along with being affordable, South Dakota is enticing to sightseers and adventurers alike. The Black Hills National Forest is a treasure to behold, and there is a multitude of other state and national parks to check out.

Arizona

While Arizona is not the most affordable state to live in or RV in, it is hands down one of the most beautiful. Outdoor lovers flock to the state to take in the sights and enjoy the fun and laid-back atmosphere of the locals.

The weather is also spectacular, especially in the winter months. You won’t have to worry about cold and snow. Even in the summer, while hot, the weather is still nice. No matter the month, you could find yourself exploring one of the many parks or forests in the state.
