Adding More to the Lineup

The automotive lineup is changing all the time with new models and even new brands. The most recent brand that we’re familiar with is Genesis. This brand was born from the model that carried the same name but drove under the Hyundai brand. The Genesis was a sport luxury model from a brand that was known to be one of the most affordable on the market. Now, Genesis is a brand and the car that carried the name is known as the G80. The other model that came along is the G90 which used to be the Equus. While these two sedans are certainly a good start, it seems we will see the first model not based off a previous model in the near future.

Kia Based Performance

The newest member of the Genesis brand will be the G70 sports sedan. This will be one that should fit right in with the G80 and G90 to provide you with the right way to handle the drive. This is a car that’s shown up with a ton of images, even though the official debut of this car won’t occur until later this month. This is a car that situates itself below the other two in order to make sure you can have a car that’s active and engaging on the road.
Because Hyundai and Kia often share information and work together to bring us the cars we see, it shouldn’t come as any surprise to know that the new G70 will be based off one of the Kia models. In order to be a model that’s built to be a luxury performer and one that will offer the sportiness desired this new Genesis model is being built with its basis in a car, we don’t even have on the roads yet, the Kia Stinger.
With that in mind, the G70 is expected to use the same platform and engines as the Stinger. This means we will see a RWD model that uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 255 horsepower or a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 model that gives you as much as 365 horsepower. The transmission offered will be an eight-speed automatic and AWD will be an option that can be added to the car. These engines are what we will have in the Kia Stinger, but the G70 might be a model that’s tuned up for a bit more power.

The differentiation

Although the new G70 is a car that will offer us the benefit of a similar build to the Kia Stinger, this new Genesis model will have more curves, larger alloy wheels, red brake calipers and large oval-shaped exhaust ports. This car will look and feel like you want a luxury sports car to appear and feel on the road. As the first actual new addition to the Genesis lineup the new G70 should be a lot of fun to drive when it makes its way to the market. Get ready for the debut of this impressive new sports sedan that will be offered for us to see in the next couple of weeks.
