With Kia not being known for its comfort or luxury the Cadenza comes closest in the Kia family to being a full-size luxury sedan that offers power, performance and a vast amount of features and style to fully enjoy. As a full-size sedan the Cadenza offers owners a major savings by being reasonably priced in a market full of sedans that end up being much more expensive than this one. Reaching into this class, the Cadenza performs well against most of the class including the Toyota Avalon, Hyundai Azera and Chevrolet Impala.
As a class leading sedan the Cadenza comes in with a ton of space and features that are not found on many more expensive cars. For someone looking for this value in a car the Cadenza is the right choice. After being introduced to the market only a year ago the Cadenza showed the world a car that can be this size and affordable. For 2015 Kia has taken the Limited’s Technology Package and panoramic sunroof and made it available on the Premium models along with having an eight-way power driver’s seat as standard equipment. The Limited receives a new grill and a standard Flex Steer and surround-view monitor.
While the driving of the Cadenza isn’t the most dynamic of driving experiences this car is one that is roomy and comfortable with the ability to pamper the driver and give them a great experience on the road with a smooth ride. This very enjoyable riding experience comes from the well-designed suspension and easy to enjoy steering systems that simply do not allow the car to go out of control. Adding to the smooth rode the Cadenza comes in with a very quiet cabin that helps to keeps the road noises outside the car and the musical selections inside the car for the occupants to enjoy.
Only one engine is found in the Cadenza regardless of trim level. This engine shows up as a 3.3-liter V6 engine that offers a very nice 293 horsepower and 255 lb.-ft. of torque. On the outside the Cadenza is gorgeous and looks like it belongs in a luxury class rather than being left in the full-size sedan class. The standard features offered on the Cadenza come in a long list that resembles many of the other Kia vehicles that are fully laden with features. This list includes keyless entry, push button starting, leather seating, an eight-inch central display, a navigation system, a 550-watt twelve speaker Infinity audio system with Satellite radio, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, an auxiliary port, UVO eServices, an eight-way power driver’s seat, a rear-seat center passenger armrest with cup holders and a USB charging port. This gives the Premium model of the Cadenza one that is easily enjoyable to drive and ride in regardless of which seat a person ends up in.
The optional features for the Cadenza take it from a smooth and enjoyable full-size sedan to one that gives many luxury cars a full run for their money. This feature list includes a Technology Package with active cruise control, lane keeping assistance, blind spot monitoring, cross traffic warnings and water repelling hydrophobic glass. The Luxury Package includes ventilated driver and front passenger seats, a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel and a seven-inch TFT display in the gauges. Owning the Cadenza with all its features and equipment might seem like the price would require a starting point well above the base Premium model price that begins at $35,700. To add the Technology Package the price increases $3,300 and $2,100 to add the Luxury Package to the deal. With not much more to add to the Cadenza beyond that, the Limited model asks for a price that comes up at a price of $45,500 to get everything the Cadenza has to offer. Those choosing the Cadenza as their daily driver or weekend cruiser will enjoy the smooth and comfortable ride in this amazing car.
