For the last three decades, Honda has been one of the most recognizable brands in the automotive industry. Even in the early days when they were fighting to make a name for themselves, the Honda Accord stood out as a winner, particularly when gas prices started going up and compact cars became more practical.
The Accord is no longer a compact. It has grown up. The plant in Ohio just rolled out its 10 millionth manufactured there.
According to Hidenobu Iwata, CEO of Honda of America Manufacturing: “We are deeply aware that our ability to reach this milestone results from the trust that 20 million customers have placed in our products, and we appreciate their support over the past three decades.”
It shouldn’t take as long to get to 20 million the way that sales have been going for the last decade.
